A Mechanical Orgasm

I find great satisfaction in watching a well constructed machine while it performs it mechanical dance of cog and gear as it turns and twirls to slot in gear after gear ever so precisely and with a reassuring mechanical certainty their is nothing sweeter than the sound it produces it’s music to my ears.

This love of all mechanical moving parts extends to cars and other automotive instruments of the mechanical kind, watches, camera lenses, and any other mechanical device elaborately constructed with meticulous relentless passion and scrupulous conscientious design.

Holding a well constructed piece of machinery in my hand, observing the mechanical movement of it’s parts as they perform the magical dance of it’s purpose, regardless of the reason of it’s use, mundane or otherwise, it still remains an object of fascination of mine.

Sometimes even looking at a drawing or diagram of a mechanical device, discovering the genius of it’s design, simple or intricate, that alone is enough for me to go into a state of higher consciousness, as the little hairs at the back of my nick stand on end, and shivers go up and down my spine, call it a mechanical orgasm, shall we.
